The Akyga® AK-EC-19 electric car charger is a high-quality device designed for charging electric vehicles, compatible with the IEC 62196-2 Type 2 socket, also known as Mennekes. This standard has been adopted by the European Union, making it the most popular EV connector available on the European market.
The EVSE AK-EC-19 portable charger is equipped with a Schuko plug (CEE 7/7), giving the EV user complete independence, allowing the vehicle to be charged at home. Convenience of use is also increased by the 5-metre cable, which makes it easy to connect the vehicle to power.
At the central point of the charger is the ControlBox. It informs about the charging status and displays key parameters on an LCD screen, including charging current, voltage, energy consumed, charger temperature and charging time. The device offers selectable charging currents of 8 A, 10 A, 13 A and 16 A, giving control over the power at which the vehicle will be charged. This makes it possible to adapt the charging parameters to the capabilities of the electrical grid and the vehicle.
The AK-EC-19 charger is designed for reliable operation in harsh environments, as confirmed by its IP54 rating. Its solid construction ensures resistance to contaminants and moisture, which is crucial for the safety and durability of the device.
Integrated protections such as OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP and SCP provide comprehensive protection for the charger and the charged EV, preventing excessive current, voltage, power overload, overheating and short circuit.
