Description

The Akyga® AKY0563 LP653454 Li-Po battery is a high-performance power source designed to power modern portable electronics. It has a capacity of 1400 mAh and a stable nominal voltage of 3.7 V, making it ideal for devices that require long operating times on a single charge.

The lithium-polymer technology used allows for a thin and flexible cell design whilst maintaining good energy efficiency. As a result, this type of battery is used in many mobile devices – from consumer electronics to DIY projects. Their low weight and compact casing mean that Li-Po batteries can also be used in drones, remote-controlled models and wearable devices.

The built-in PCM module protects the cell against overcharging, over-discharging and current overload, which significantly increases the safety of the batteries.

Construction and advantages of Li-Po batteries

Li-Po technology is a type of rechargeable battery in which the electrolyte is present in a polymer form, such as a gel or solid material. This allows the cells to have a flat and lightweight design. Compared to traditional Li-Ion solutions, such batteries are often lighter and can deliver higher peak currents, which is important in devices requiring sudden power surges.

A single LP653454 cell should be charged using a power supply with a nominal voltage of 4.2 V. This is precisely why the battery should only be charged using a charger designed for this type of battery. The correct charging current prevents overheating and extends the service life of the cells.

It is also worth remembering that battery capacity is closely linked to cell size – the higher the capacity, the larger the battery dimensions are usually.

Safety and operation

When using batteries of this type, monitor the voltage and avoid deep discharge. It is recommended to charge at room temperature and not allow the voltage to drop below 3 V per cell.

The AKY0563 model is fitted with a 150 mm cable terminated with a JST 2-pin connector, which facilitates installation in electronic projects and devices requiring a reliable power source.
